The latest TSI package (2023) introduced multiple changes to legislation in the EU railway sector and such changes could have a significant impact on future projects. Noting that our stakeholders could benefit from clarification in the application of the TSI (namely CCS, LOC&PAS and WAG but not exclusively), ERA has launched this initiative to assist Member States with understanding and application of these technical standards.
Participants to this workshop should then be able understand and apply the TSI. They will have the opportunity to discuss directly with ERA experts the issues or questions they may have. Presentations will be in English. Simultaneous translation in Hungarian language will be provided. This technical workshop under the Hungarian EU Presidency will give tangible benefits to technical railway experts in Hungary and the surrounding regions.
Target audience: the objective is to reach those who would apply the TSIs in their daily activities:
- Vehicle manufacturers: staff involved in certification / validation / authorisation, design & engineering, project management and planning;
- Manufacturers of Interoperability Constituents: same staff as for vehicle manufacturers;
- Railway undertakings: same staff as for vehicle manufacturers, staff involved in operation of combined transport trains, staff involved in route compatibility;
- Infrastructure managers: staff involved in deployment of ERTMS, specialists in train detection systems, staff involved in projects of upgrade/renewal of lines, staff involved in the provision of RINF data;
- Assessment Bodies (NoBos, DeBos): staff involved in rolling stock and CCS assessment;
- NSAs: staff involved in authorisations of subsystems (vehicles and fixed installations).
