Biennial seminar (free webinar) bringing together experts from a diverse range of fields, this year focusing on the integration of HOF in railway automation.
This virtual seminar will include presentations from a wide range of perspectives and demonstrate the importance of integrating HOF in railway automation. In the Q&A sessions attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions to the experts.
A leading academic will look at the psychological effects of automation on the human being and what can be done to mitigate the associated risks with the integration of HOF throughout the process. A manufacturer will explain how they integrate HOF by using standards during the in their processes from the design to testing phase.
A presentation will highlight how lessons can be learnt from other transport modes where integration of HOF has long been recognised as essential. You will also find out how railway undertakings and infrastructure managers are integrating HOF in their automation projects and the challenges and opportunities they encounter. HOF in automation also needs to be regulated and both a National Safety Authority and a National Investigation Body will highlight the need to integrate HOF in their activities.
HOF is a multidisciplinary field focusing on how to increase safety, enhance performance as well as increase user satisfaction.
