Common Safety Methods on Assessment of Safety Level and Safety Performance (CSM ASLP)

This Regulation provides a common approach to the assessment of the safety level and safety performance achieved by railway operators. It also provides methods to establish railway safety indicators at national and Union level.

This Regulation provides a common approach to the assessment of the safety level and safety performance achieved by railway operators. It also provides methods to establish railway safety indicators at national and Union level. 

This Regulation establishes the Information Sharing System (ISS) which will support the sharing and usage of relevant safety data and information between all railway actors. Each person being required or entitled to use the ISS will have to register beforehand here

The Regulation establishes also the Group of Analysts (GoA) which is tasked to drive safety improvement and development at Union level. The GoA will use the safety data and information to design proposal for efficient safety development, using risk-based decision-making methods.
