In railway applications, managers responsible for maintenance of vehicles, often face dilemma and difficult decisions when it comes to the question on how to maintain a vehicle. 

This does not get easier when they must take into account conflicting business objectives. Driven by these trade‐offs between the costs and the benefits of maintenance activities only, the overall system risks may not have been taken enough into account in the past.

This webinar aims at explaining how to develop a maintenance strategy for railway vehicles taking into account new actors and new responsibilities as described in the regulation 779/2019.

After a brief presentation of the regulation, actors like ECMs, RUs keepers, conformity assessors, manufacturers will express their views on the matter.
