Article 18 of the Interoperability Directive (EU) 2016/797 states that for Control Command and Signalling, Energy and Infrastructure subsystems, the National Safety Authorities (NSA) shall authorise its placing into service.
The NSAs shall provide detailed guidance on how to obtain the authorisation. An application guidance (AG) document describing and explaining the requirements for those authorisations and listing the documents required shall be made available to applicants free of charge.
