From Certification to Authorisation, challenges and issues
The journey from manufacturing to real-life operation for both vehicles and infrastructure goes via several intermediate steps which can be challenging. In this workshop we will be sharing experience about:
- CCS TSI 2023 transition regime and other changes impacting the certification and authorisation processes;
- Impact caused by selection of modules in the certification process;
- Challenges: if manufacturers’ deliveries are delayed but the date for putting into service is already fixed and cannot be moved, with the NoBo in between – how do we manage such challenging situations?
- Small changes and retro-fitment of already certified vehicles (what to do, which TSI to use – discussion of some “use cases”);
- How to optimise certification outcomes within the authorisation process (from submission of an application to obtaining APIS), from ISVs for overall design up to final type-6 certificates;
- Specific case: certification deliveries in case of stepwise authorisation process, e.g. AfT (Authorisation for Testing) and then APIS (Authorisation for placing in service) - (for AfT, ISVs for overall design and production stage supposed to be sufficient, certificates - including testing - necessary for APIS)
