Human and Organisational Factors (HOF) e-learning toolkit

The Agency, via its ERA Academy in cooperation with the Safety and Operations Unit, is happy to present the Human and Organisational Factors (HOF) e-learning toolkit. 

This toolkit is a methodology developed by ERA to identify and assess the impacts of change on HOF. This guidance can be used by the railway sector, including Railway Undertakings, Infrastructure Managers, NSAs, and manufacturers, to help integrate HOF more consistently and systematically.

This module is available for free, but you must have an account and be logged in to our e-learning platform to access it.

To do so, please follow these steps:

1. Register – if not already done – in our ERA database (here: Registration Page · Customer Self-Service);
2. Once registration is complete, send a message requesting access to the toolkit via the "Contact Us" form on the website, under the topic Website (here: Contact Us Form). Please make sure to specify that you are requesting access to the HOF Toolkit.
3. Once done, log in to the e-learning platform by clicking here using your ERA/OpenID account.
4. Then click here to access the toolkit.
