Lorenzo Vannacci is a leading transport expert, experienced in the consultant, industrial and scientific sectors at an international level. He had an extensive professional experience working at DG JRC of European Commission and at Italian Transport Authority (ART). He is now the Head Research and Scienze Advisor at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane group. He is author of several scientific papers on mobility, transport and environment and he is deputy member of the TRB at ITF/OECD for the Italian Government.

Data quality process at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane

This presentation will deepen the corporate process used to ensure data quality, focusing on commitment and data flow tracing inside the FS Group. In particular the FS Group Disposal regarding official data provision will be illustrated specifing roles, data flows and responsabilities.

The FS Group is one of the largest industrial companies in Italy, with more than 91,000 employees, over 10,000 trains per day and more than 40 million tonnes of freight per year, leader in passenger and freight transport by rail. The railway infrastructure covers more than 17,000 kilometers, over 1,000 km of which are dedicated to High-Speed/High- Capacity services. Furthermore, the Group also operates a road network of about 32,000 kilometers.
