EU Rail System Pillar Domain Lead

Renato has a degree in Environmental Engineering. He worked for 6 years at DB Netz as a project manager in Shift2Rail, a European project dedicated to advanced signalling and digitalisation. He is the domain co-lead for Operational Design since September 2022, representing the railway companies. Renato also supports Capgemini Engineering in pre-sales activities for the German signalling market.

Operational Harmonisation

As part of the operational harmonisation in the System Pillar topic presented by Silvia Dominguez and Paolo Ciucci, the Operational Design domain leads (Renato and Danilo Iovino) will present the methodology used to derive to derive the operational needs and reach harmonised operational rules for ETCS Level 2 without signals, including the first results achieved.
