– Technical visit

09:00 - 12:00

An optional technical visit is scheduled in collaboration with the Estonian railway infrastructure manager, Eesti Raudtee, for a limited number of participants.

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until reaching the maximum number of participants.

1 - Tour of Muuga Harbour

  • Muuga is going to be the multimodal terminal for Rail Baltica and the important connection between 1520 mm and 1435 mm railways. A visit to the terminal and dispatcher facility will be arranged by Muuga Harbour and Estonian Railways.

2 - Visit the Elron’s maintenance facility

  • Elron is the only passenger operator in Estonia with a very compact depot in the Pääsküla area in Tallinn. This single depot ensures maintenance and cleaning of passenger trains.

3 - Introduction training in crisis management

  • The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences will present their crisis management simulation tool, which enables to perform different realistic scenarios (e.g train accident) and develop crisis management skills.
