Data-centric and user-centric approach for freight services
Data are a key element in digitalisation and RINF will become the register of infrastructure-related data that the IMs have to provide to end users (especially RUs) to fulfil defined use cases. The dual approach, data-centric and user-centric, is crucial to ensure the efficiency of digitalisation. A focus on freight services is presented.
The Telematics Joint Sector Group, established in 2011, is a group of 14 European railways associations involved in Telematics TSIs for RU/IM communications. The aim of the JSG is to harmonise the position of the sector for strategic topics as revision and evolution of Telematics TSIs, for change control management of the Telematics technical documents, for monitoring the implementation and reporting process. The Telematics JSG is also the central point of sector governance towards DG MOVE and ERA for the implementation and extension of digitalisation in freight and passengers services.
