Cornelis Bouter

Scientist

Cornelis Bouter is scientist on semantic interoperability in the Dutch applied research organisation TNO. His work focuses on applying semantic technology in a range of domains, such as energy, logistics, agriculture, and health. In particular he is co-author of SAREF and SAREF4ENER. He gained his BSc and MSc on artificial intelligence from Utrecht University.

Semantic Interoperability using the SAREF suite of ontologies

The SAREF (Smart Applications Reference Framework) suite of ontologies is a modular collection of models intended to share device data, such as their measurements, functions and commands, and (execution) states. The generic core has been extended for several domains, including energy, logistics, and agriculture. This talk will give an introduction into the model and show some of its usecases.
