ERA and the Institute for an Industrial Safety Culture (ICSI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of safety culture and safety management. This cooperation aims at improving railway safety by developing a positive safety culture in any EU railway organisation.

The EU Agency for Railways organised on 20 and 21 March 2019 in co-operation with the Ministry of Transport of the Netherlands and ILT (Environment and Transport Inspectorate). Invited experts from Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Palestine were able to benefit from European railway expertise.

Vienna, 18 March 2019 – The Austrian Infrastructure Minister Nobert Hofer welcomed an illustrious group of European and international experts to discuss the important role of satellite-based positioning technology for the future of the European railway sector in Vienna.

The 50th meeting of the ERA-OSJD Contact Group took place in Lille on 05-07 March 2019. Welcome speeches greeting the participants of the anniversary meeting were given by ERA’s Executive Director and representatives of the OSJD Committee and DG MOVE.

An important achievement of the Agency, the railway sector and national authorities:
The One-Stop Shop (OSS) is available to applicants as the single entry point for new tasks of the Agency.

From the 12th to the 14th of February, the EU Agency for Railways together with the Directorate for Railways in Serbia (National Safety Authority) held a workshop on Safety Management System and Safety Culture at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, in Belgrade.
