The European Union Agency for Railways organised and hosted the European Rail Human and Organisational Factors Seminar last 14 and 15 November. Recognised academics, professionals and railway representatives reflected during these two days on the challenges the railway industry needs to address.
The workshop organised by the Spanish NSA (AESF), to which the Agency was kindly invited to participate, was considered interesting and attractive by the representatives of the Spanish railway sector attending the event.
On 9 November 2018, the Railway Interoperability and Safety Committee (RISC) voted unanimously to adopt a new Implementing Regulation setting out important steps in the field of interoperability and the related European processes, which will come into effect with the Fourth Railway Package in June 2019.
The Agency published its final report on how to facilitate combined transport along the networks of the Union rail system.
The Agency’s Management Board adopted the Consolidated Annual Activity Report 2017 in its meeting on 26 June 2018, including the analysis and assessment of this report by the MB.
The Agency had the pleasure to receive Professor Frédéric Vanderhaegen and his team from the Polytechnical University of Hauts-de-France.
